Texas Freight Advisory Committee Meeting set at Ports-to-Plains Conference

The Committee and TxDOT are partnering with the Ports-To-Plains Alliance to provide this unique opportunity to better understand the freight issues affecting this geographic region of the state.
AMARILLO -- The Texas Freight Advisory Committee is holding a special meeting in conjunction with the 16th Annual Ports-To-Plains Alliance Conference today in Amarillo.  

The Committee and TxDOT are partnering with the Ports-To-Plains Alliance to provide this unique opportunity to better understand the freight issues affecting this geographic region of the state.
 
Swift and efficient movement of freight is the backbone of the Texas economy and is vital to the continued strength of the state’s economy and the prosperity of its communities. 

The primary purpose of the committee is to work collaboratively with TxDOT to develop the first comprehensive, integrated and multimodal Texas Freight Mobility Plan. The panel of experts will also serve as a forum for agency transportation decisions affecting freight mobility.
