AMARILLO -- A well known statue in Canyon is getting a makeover thanks to a grant from TxDOT.
Tex Randall has been in need of repair for several years.
Now, the Canyon Main Street program is getting a $275,000 grant to renovate the statue.
There is a catch though, the city has to match 30-percent of the total in order to get that makeover started.
The total projected cost of the project is about $400,000.
