Teacher of the Week: Ms. Boydston

Ashley Boydston is not new to teaching, but has been faced with a new challenge in the last few months-- colon cancer.
Today, we visited Bushland Elementary School where we found a very surprised and very inspiring Ms Boydston

Ashley Boydston is not new to teaching, but has been faced with a new challenge in the last few months-- colon cancer.

She was diagnosed last year, and has spent much of this school year going through chemotherapy treatments but has spent as much time at school with her second graders as she can.  She is, without a doubt, an inspiration to her kids and those she works with.

If you're interested in supporting colon cancer awareness, prevention, detection and treatment in our area, we encourage you to make plans to participate in the Colon Cancer Awareness Challenge Run at the Amarillo Endoscopy Clinic.

All participants will receive a T-shirt, and a participation bag. 5K runners will receive a medal. There will be fun along the running path with food, music and beer at the finish line. Three participants with the best costume will receive an award.
