SWISHER COUNTY -- The Swisher County Jail has passed their inspections.
You'll remember the Texas Commission of Jail standards gave the jail a second chance after the county failed to properly supervise the inmates twice in a nine-month period.
The jail has since been on the verge of shutting down if they were found to be in violation again.
So, officials essentially shut the jail down for 21 days to make the necessary upgrades.
The jail was inspected on October and November and passed.
It was certified last month.
