AMARILLO -- Students from across the panhandle got the chance today to learn world class art techniques.
The 6th through 12th graders took part in a field trip to the American Quarter Horse Museum.
They were able to talk with the artists who contributed to the 2013 "Americas Horse in Art" exhibit and were given a sketch pad and pencil to try some of the techniques.
Organizers say the event was designed to educate and inspire kids who are looking to participate in the youth art show and give them a chance to speak with people who have made art their full-time careers.
