Stay Granted in Registering Clones Horses

AQHA
AMARILLO -- A federal judge grants a stay in the registration of cloned horses.

Judge Mary Lou Robinson granted the stay this morning. It will remain in place until a higher court rules on an appeal by the American Quarter Horse Association.

While the stay halts registration of cloned horses and their offspring, the AQHA must still develop rules for the registration of clones.

An Amarillo jury ruled last summer the AQHA violated anti-trust laws by barring the registration of cloned horses.
