The holy grail of panhanlde sausage festivals has come to a close.
This was the 62 year for the festival in Umbarger.
The meal had 5,000 pounds of German Sausage and 1,300 gallons of sauerkraut, which fermented for 6 weeks.
There was also homemade bread.
The meal had plenty of food, for plenty of sausuge fanatics
St. Mary's Pastor Father Daniel Dreher says, last year we fed just over 3,000 people. Its actually a festival that beings people together from all over."
Some students from the WT Catholic Students Center were on hand as well volunteering for the festival.
