A suspect is under arrest this afternoon following a shooting at a New Mexico Middle School that left four teenagers injured, two of them critically.
Police say the suspect opened fire at Berrendo Middle School in Roswell about 120 miles south-east of Albuquerque as classes were starting for the day.
A 14-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl, both in critical condition, were flown to University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas.
Two other patients, also minors, are being treated in Roswell at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center.
The suspect was taken into custody.
He is believed to be 13 years old.
The school was placed on a lockdown.
Students were taken to a nearby mall by bus where parents could pick up them up.
