AMARILLO -- Shoppers will pay more for meat, especially chicken, according to the latest grocery price watch survey.
The price for boneless, skinless chicken breasts is around $3.55 a pound this quarter. That's up from just over $3.00 a pound last quarter.
Officials say the increase might have something to do with demand. They say higher beef prices are prompting shoppers to buy chicken instead driving up the cost of chicken.
