CLOVIS, NEW MEXICO - The Curry County Commissioners have voted to accept the master plan that would expand and renovate the counties jails and courthouse. Now it will be left up to voters in November to approve the needed tax increases to come up with the estimated $33-Million needed for the project. County Commissioner Robert Sandoval says if approved the work will be done in phases, with the first phase being to remodel and expand the county jail. Sandoval says when all the phases are complete the mens, womens, and juvenile jails will all have been renovated, and the county courthouse will be remodeled.
