(NBC News) President Obama could announce new limits on government spy tactics as early as next week.
The changes are in response to leaks by former N.S.A contractor Edward Snowden.
On Thursday, congressional leaders and privacy advocates visited the White House to discuss ideas.
The President is weighing the dozens of recommendations made by his own advisory panel to cut back on the powers of the National Security Agency.
