(KRIS) A new $24 million Customs and Border Patrol facility was officially unveiled Thursday in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Sector Chief Patrol Agent Rosendo Hinojosa says it's a huge upgrade from the previous space.
"Our agents were working out of 5,000 square feet," Hinojosa said. "Office of Field Operations had 1,000 square feet. So now, we've got 30,000 square feet where we can combine our efforts."
The new building is meant to house about 100 Border Patrol employees as well as a handful of Immigrations and Customs workers.
