It was a day of remembrance for the NAACP.
The Amarillo branch held their annual Dr. RW Jones Freedom Fund Banquet at the Civic Center.
The event honored the memory of Jones, the longest serving president of the Amarillo branch.
Dr. Rosemary Gray, Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer for West Texas A&M was on hand as keynote speaker.
Proceeds from the banquet go toward funding the Amarillo branch.
