Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel outlined a series of steps today to reduce and respond to sexual assault cases in the military.
In a memo, he unveiled seven directives.
They include the creation of a victim's advocacy program to give accusers legal advice and representation throughout the justice process.
It also directs that accusers in sex assault cases be allowed to transfer or get reassigned.
And it directs that policies banning inappropriate relations between trainers and trainees and recruiters and recruits be standardized across all services.
