(KSEE) California Sheriff's deputies worked all day Tuesday uprooting pot plants and hauling them away in trucks.
Fresno County Sheriff Margaret Mims says there were thousands of plants hidden in 66 acres of crops on private property, crops like corn, eggplant and tomatoes.
Deputies spotted the grow a few weeks ago, and moved in after getting a federal search warrant.
Deputies say 21 people were working the fields, and five of them were arrested. Sheriff Mims says some of them tried to run.
