In 2014, traditional 40 and 60 watt lightbulbs will be out and new energy saving bulbs will be in.
That because of a law signed in 2007 by George Bush, aimed at knocking out the old bulbs that only use 10 percent of the energy they consume.
In their place will be halogen bulbs, compact fluorescent bulbs, and LED bulbs.
This move is highly controversial, however, because traditional bulbs are the most popular in the country.
Last year, 75 and 100 watt bulbs were phased out.
