AMARILLO -- A death row inmate's attorneys did not intentionally throw her case.
That's the finding of the judge in the Brittany Holberg case.
Judge Richard Dambold wrote in his findings, "That attorneys for Holberg were not incompetent in their defense."
But, this is not the last word on the case.
The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals will hold hearings on the case later this year to determine if Holberg will receive a new punishment-phase hearing.
Last year, the same court ordered a hearing to find out if Holberg was given adequate defense in her 1998 Capital Murder Trial.
She was convicted and sentenced to death for the 1996 murder and robbery of 80-year old A.B. Towery.
