(WFLA) Women undergoing chemotherapy now have a unique way to deal with hair loss, especially in a hot weather climate, thanks to Tampa's Hip Hats with Hair.
"The hair is attached to a thin fabric which is a 'Coolmax' fabric it's a sports wickaway fabric and nothing touches your head except for the soft fabric," said Christine Heinen, the founder and creator of Hip Hats with Hair.
Heinen worked as a volunteer at Moffitt Cancer Center in the wig department and realized many women had scalp sensitivity. Combined with a hot weather climate, that makes full wigs be too itchy and uncomfortable to wear.
