(NBC News) Fort Hood gunman Major Nadal Hasan has rested his case without calling any witnesses.
Hasan, who is representing himself, is on trial for the shooting rampage that killed 13 at Fort Hood in 2009.
The American-born Muslim did not present a case and said little during the first two weeks of the trial when the prosecution called more than 90 witnesses.
Hasan faces the death penalty if convicted.
The trial is recessed until noon Thursday, when the jury will hear closing arguments.
