(NBC News) Given a final chance to speak to the military jury that will decide if he will face the death penalty, Army Major Nidal Hasan declined to make a statement Tuesday.
Time after time during the proceedings Hasan declined to offer any defense or reason for his violent attack on fellow soldiers and innocent civilians that left 13 dead and 32 wounded.
A unanimous decision is needed for a death sentence.
