AMARILLO -- About 200 people from the four downtown churches are gathering tonight at Polk Street Methodist from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. to pack up school supplies in our first official "4 Amarillo" service project together.

All four churches collected school supplies over the past three weeks and will be combining all of them together to pack500 bags that will go to the teachers at San Jacinto, Bivins, Sunrise, and Margaret Wills elementary schools early next week.

The churches will cater breakfasts and lunches for the teachers at those schools on delivery day.

Central Church of Christ is delivering to Bivins Elementary on August 20.  The other churches are delivering to their schools on August 21.
