Fatal Wreck Monday Afternoon in Hemphill County

Officials say a driver of a suburban failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign to two semi-trucks, that were towing vehicles.
CANADIAN -- A Canadian man is dead after a five vehicle crash. It happened Monday afternoon around 1:30 on Highway 83 in Hemphill County, near Canadian.
Officials say a driver of a suburban failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign to two semi-trucks, that were towing vehicles.

That's when 48-year-old Jarry Kelly the driver of one of the semis hit the suburban.

Kelly then hit the other semi on the side and overturned.

His truck caught on fire and he died on scene.

The driver of the suburban is in stable condition, the passenger is in critical.

The other truck driver was treated and released.
