AMARILLO -- The Amarillo Fire Department was called out at 3:12 this morning to a vacant house fire.
Upon arrival, the Amarillo Fire Department reported the house was fully involved.
Crews protected the adjacent homes until the fire could be partially controlled. Homes around the fire were temporarily evacuated until the fire had been extinguished.
The fire caused $25,000 in damages throughout the house.
Officials say that the house is reportedly used by vagrants.
The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.
