DPS Seizes Over 10 Pounds of Meth, Valued at Over $386,000

The illegal drugs were allegedly being transported from Yuma, Ariz., to Des Moines, Iowa.
AMARILLO –- A DPS trooper conducting a traffic stop Saturday on IH-40, yielded over 10 pounds of methamphetamine valued at over $386,000.

At  12:35 p.m., the DPS trooper pulled over a 2004 Honda Civic traveling eastbound on I-40, for a traffic violation, near Conway in Carson County.

During the traffic stop, the trooper discovered 12 bundles of methamphetamine in the trunk.

Roberto Fernandez Jr., 39, was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance, a first-degree felony, and booked into the Carson County Jail. 

The illegal drugs were allegedly being transported from Yuma, Ariz., to Des Moines, Iowa.
