AMARILLO -- Could parts of downtown Amarillo become an historic district?
Downtown Amarillo Incorporated discossed the possiblity of making Polk Street and the Warehouse District just that at a meeting today.
The move would make them eligible for tax credits from the National Parks Service.
At the meeting they also updated the board on other big projects in downtown.
Members of the city and development group Wallace Bajjali say that construction on other downtown projects are expected to begin by the end of this year or the beginning of last year.
