Today was back to the cold but not as chilly as last week. Howdy and good Wednesday evening folks. Tomorrow will be much warmer with afternoon clouds returning. The skies will clear out before sunrise Thursday and winds will start to shift direction, coming from the southwest. We'll wake up to lows in the teens and 20s but we'll see a few more 20s on the map than this morning.

Those southwest breezes will help to move some warmer air our direction. Highs will range from the mid 40s out east to the upper 50s to the west as clouds will be on the increase. An upper-level low off the coast of Mexico will finally move our way tomorrow night, bringing a slim chance for a few showers over the Texas Panhandle. Most of that precipitation will stay rain, though we could have a few pockets of freezing rain as temperatures get close to 32 degrees early Friday morning. There won't be freezing conditions long enough for any ice to stick around, and the moisture will be moving away pretty quickly.

Friday afternoon we're looking for temperatures to continue to climb to the upper 50s and lower 60s but then another dry cold front comes to us for Saturday. That will keep us from warming beyond about 48.

From Sunday to the middle of next week, highs will get back up to the 50s and 60s with partly cloudy skies.

Stay warm and have a great night!
