(NBC News) After weeks of fighting, Senators have announced a bipartisan plan to to raise the country's borrowing limit and re-open the government.
The agreement re-opens the government through mid January and extends the debt limit through February 7th.
It's also includes a mid-December deadline for lawmakers to address longer term spending concerns.
Senators had to step up after Republican leader John Boehner caved to conservative pressure yesterday, ending hope for a deal out of the house.
