AMARILLO -- A company, owned by Xcel energy, will soon have to pay a fine for not providing reliable electricity to customers.
Southwestern Public Service agreed to pay $20,000 in a settlement with the Texas Public Utility Commission.
The PUC says Southwestern Public Service also has to improve its performance or face further fines.
During the past several years, the company has put thousands of dollars into line maintenance in areas that didn't meet the PUC performance expectations.
