(NBC News) Ebola patient Nancy Writebol as arrived in Atlanta after flying overnight from Liberia in a medi-vac jet equipped with an isolation pod.
"Nancy is still very weak. She shows sign of continued improvement, she's showing signs of progress," Bruce Johnson, president of the missionary organization that sent Writebol to Africa, said after her arrival.
Writebol will spend the rest of her recovery in an isolation unit at Emory University Hospital that she will share with her colleague Dr. Kent Brantly.
Writebol and Brantly contracted the deadly virus while working as medical missionaries in Africa and doctors say both have shown improvement in the last couple of days after receiving a second dose of the experimental drug ZMapp.
