Wife Arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon

Officers talked with her husband. He was suffering from a cut on his hand and to his abdomen. He told the officers that they had been involved in an argument when she produced a knife and stabbed him.
AMARILLO -- Amarillo Police were called out Tuesday to the a home in the 2300 block of S. Wilson on a domestic dispute.  
After police arrived, they found the 38-year-old Christi Dawn Morton sitting on the porch.  Morton told police She made that she had been involved in a dispute with her husband.  

Officers then talked with her husband in the home. He was suffering from a cut on his hand and to his abdomen.  He told the officers that they had been involved in an argument when she produced a knife and stabbed him.  

This happened in the living room of the home.  

Officers recovered a pocket knife with a three inch blade from the home.  

The husband was taken to the hospital for his not life-threatening injuries.  

Morton was booked into the Potter County Detention Center for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
