JetBlue, Delta, Hawaiian Airlines, and Alaska Airlines also round out the top five.
That's according to the findings of the statistical study of US airlines co-authored by Aviation and Marketing professors.
They determined these airline quality ratings using a formula that includes on-time performance, mishandled baggage, customer complaints, and denied boardings.
Analysts say overall the US airline industry saw an overall improvement in 2013 over 2012.
