The suspect arrested Thursday morning after sending a threatening text to a parent, and then entering Jane Long Elementary in order to check out a student, is being questioned.

The suspect had sent a message reading, “Man im about to kill all yall,” to his girlfriend, who had not allowed her daughter to attend school that day due to her boyfriend.

It is not known at this time if the suspect was armed when he entered the school a little after 8 a.m., however, when he went to check out his girlfriend's daughter, the girl was not there. The girlfriend says she also called 911.

No students or staff were injured. It is also unknown at the time where the suspect was arrested, whether at the school, or at a different location.

The suspect was arrested near a trailer park where he lived and, following the suspect’s arrest, Abilene police also searched the suspect’s trailer.

We will have more information as it becomes available.
