Nick Gonzalez and Joachim Adam Gonzalez died at the scene.
UPDATE -- Amarillo Police have released the name of the two people who stole the truck.

42-year-old Nick Gonzalez and 31-year-old Joachim Adam Gonzalez died at the scene.

Police report that Nick and Joachim reportedly had stolen a Dodge Dually truck near Amarillo Blvd. and N. Bonham.

Amarillo Police located the vehicle but when an officer tried to pull the Dodge over, it fled from him.

Due to speed and conditions, the officer terminated the pursuit and stopped in the 700 block of N. Van Buren.  The officer was attempting to see if the vehicle would turn off of Van Buren when the pickups tail lights disappeared.

The officer found that the vehicle crashed in the 100 block of N Van Buren.

The Dodge Dually collided with two empty semi-trailers that were parked there.

Justice of the Peace Nancy Bosquez has ordered an autopsy for both individuals.  It is unknown if alcohol/drugs are factors.  Speed is a factor.

The incident is being investigated by the Traffic Investigation Squad of the Amarillo Police Dept.
