Update: Fritch Wildfire

Several homes are still on fire.
UPDATE 12:37 P.M. -- Officials with with the Texas A&M Fire Service are reporting that 131 structures are involved, 2,183 acres burned, 1 fatality, and 35% contained.

FRITCH -- An update now on the Hutchinson County wildfire we've been covering since yesterday afternoon.

They have two teams inside the most affected areas and are searching door to door.

Several homes are still on fire.

They tell us it started about four yesterday afternoon near Harbor Bay at Lake Meredith.

People were evacuted from Harbor Bay, Sanford Estates, Vincent Development, and some areas north of La Salle Street.

Sanford had been evacuated, but they're allowed back home now.

Evacuees are at the Fritch High School, and the First Southern Baptist Church in Fritch. 

They have told us they estimate estimate seventy homes and structures have been damaged. 

Crews say the fire is 75-percent contained.

Xcel is on scene working on power lines.

No word on any injuries.

Fire crews from all over the area are helping fight the fire..

Officals have issued a disaster declaration.

Fritch ISD cancelled classes today.

They will be back in session tomorrow, but the shelter there will remain open.

All roads are re-opened except the one leading to Lake Meredith Harbor.

The Red Cross and Salvation Army are on scene helping victims.
