BORGER -- Umi Garrett, thirteen-year-old international award-winning pianist, is playing tonight in the Borger High School Auditorium at 7:30 p.m.
On this tour she will perform a classic program of works by Beethoven, Mozart and Chopin.
Single tickets costs $30 (students $5).
Umi Garrett is the 2012 winner of the Osaka and the Chopin International music competitions. Since her 2009 debut with the Desert Symphony in Palm Desert, California (performing Mozarts Piano Concerto No. 23 in A major), and the ensuing television coverage, Garrets career has embarked on a worldwide touring schedule, including appearances in Europe, Australia, South America and Asia. Garrett performs regularly across the United States in recital and orchestral settings, and performed for a VIP broadcast of NPRs From the Top at Joshua Bells home in New York City.
