Two Melrose Coaches Resign Amid Allegations of Inappropriate Relationships with Students

The coaches are being investigated by the Curry County Sheriffs Office after they got reports about the alleged relationships.
UPDATE 5:10 P.M. -- Curry County Sheriff's Office has released the name of one of the suspects in the allegations of unlawful relationship with a student.

The coach was identified as 28-year-old Allison Draper. Draper terminated her employment with the Melrose Schools in December 2013.

Today, Sheriff’s investigators arrested Draper and charged her 6 counts of sexual assault of a minor.

She was booked into the Curry County Detention Center and is being held on a $25,000 cash/surety bond.

MELROSE 4:00 P.M. -- Two former Melrose coaches are under investigation after being accused of having inappropriate relationships with students.

The coaches are being investigated by the Curry County Sheriffs Office after they got reports about the alleged relationships.

According to the superintendent, the coaches no longer work for the Melrose schools.
