TULIA -- The Tulia Police Department building has received a facelift.
The building was repainted and new lettering was added.
The project took several weeks to complete and much of the labor was provided by staff and trustees from the Tulia Transfer Facility. Police Chief Jeffrey Yarbrough said, "The strong working relationship we have with the Tulia Unit provided a tremendous cost savings to the city."
Police Chief Jeffrey Yarbrough stated that the letters on our building were constructed by talented young men. Drew, a senior and Pake, a freshman developed their skills at a metal trades class at the Tulia High School, and worked together on the project. They cut each letter out of metal with the help of Justin Byrd at Roll-A-Cone.
Yarbrough said that he was very satisfied with the new improvements and that he has received many positive comments from the public.
