Trending Now - Exercising: Which States Are More Dedicated?

Do you take exercising seriously? According to a new survey, the residents of some states are more dedicated to fitness than others. So where does Texas rate?
A national survey by Gallup shows that some states seem to be exercise over-achievers and well, some seem to be slacking a bit.

Here are the fitness stars:

Vermont took the top spot. 63 percent of residents exercise, on average, three or more days a week, for at least 30 minutes.

Hawaii comes in at number two, followed by Montana, Alaska, Colorado, Oregon, Idaho, New Mexico, Nebraska, and North Dakota as the states with the most people who get regular exercise.

And now for the worst states for exercise:

People who live in Delaware exercise the least. Fewer than half, only 46 percent, of residents exercise on average three or more days a week for at least 30 minutes.

Also on the bottom of the list -- West Virginia, Alabama, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Tennessee, New York, Ohio, Indiana and South Carolina.

And there's bad news for the nation as a whole. The survey found that the national average for people who exercise regularly decreased in 2013, but only slightly. 52.7 percent of us got regular exercise in 2012. 51.6 percent of Americans said they exercised frequently last year.
