Amarillo and Canyon sales tax revenue up.
AUSTIN -- Texas Comptroller Susan Combs said today that state sales tax revenue in March was $2.09 billion, up 5.6 percent compared to March 2013.

In Amarillo, the sales tax was up 10.26% for the month compared to last year, totaling just over $5.2-million. Overall, the sales tax is up 5% from the same time last year.

In Canyon, the sales tax was up 8.96% for the month compared to last year, totaling just over $169,113.63. Overall, the sales tax is up 7.3% from the same time last year.
