AUSTIN -- A new survey shows people aren't "Messing With Texas" as much as they used to.
Between 2009 and 2013, TxDOT says visible litter on Texas roadways was down as much as 34-percent.
Officials say the drop could be because of the campaign, "Don't Mess with Texas."
It was started back in 1986 and has grown into a campaign that includes famous Texans, roadside trashcans and visible television and radio ads.
