UPDATE: Amarillo Police Identify Suspect that Died After Early Morning Chase

Police say the suspect did not look well. Paramedics came to scene where the suspect eventually died while in custody.
UPDATE 5:24 P.M. -- The suspect was identified as 36-year-old Jeremiah Farris. 

AMARILLO -- Amarillo Police responded to a call of suspicious activity around 3 a.m. this  morning near 15th and Harrison.

When officers arrived on scene, they saw the suspect get into a vehicle. Officers began chasing the suspect, but terminated the chase when it became too dangerous.

Officers spotted the suspect in the vehicle later in the morning and resumed the chase. They were then forced to end the second pursuit.

They spotted the suspect a third time, on foot. Officers began to chase him and took him into custody at Grand and NE 9th. Police say the suspect did not look well. Paramedics came to the scene where the suspect eventually died while in custody.
