June 14 was the Amarillo Area Super Kids Classic.
This is the fourth year for the children with special health care needs race.
Each year, a child with special needs ages 7-18 rides along with an experienced driver.
Race organizers say the race is a chance for the kids to compete in an event uniquely their own.
Board member Susan Stokes says, "the cars are specially built to accommodate two children one an experienced driver and the one for a child with special healthcare needs."
The winner of the race and their family will be going to Akron, Ohio to compete in the national race.
