A local organization is hoping to turn around the lives of those in need this summer.
The Guyon Saunders Resource Center hosted their summer outreach program, an event aimed at reaching out to the homeless community in Amarillo.
Several agencies provided aid and resources, including diapers, gas and clothing vouchers, at a facility that helps more than 45,000 people per year.
The center is also the home for 211 Texas Panhandle, who help disperse information and resources to more than 6,000 people per month.
