For nearly a decade fitness enthusiast have been trying to make a difference with each mile they swim run and walk. Turns out they haven't just tried, though, they've impacted the lives of many ares kids by raising a half million dollars for the Children's Miracle Network.
The 9th Annual TRI to Make a Difference Sprint Triathlon is Saturday, September 13th at Lake Tanglewood. Race starts at 10 a.m. The race consists of a 400 meter open water swim, 10 mile bike and 5k run. You can compete as an individual or a team three.
All money raised through this event benefits Children's Miracle Network of Amarillo to help sick children in the community. The event was started by a local CMN Miracle Family, Barry and Judy Lynch, in honor of their son, Thomas, who was born in 2005 with a rare seizure disorder. To date the event has raised over $500,000 for Children's Miracle Network.
