Spearman Police Chief Releases Statement on Stabbing

"Just want to update the citizens of Spearman about our incident on Sunday evening."
SPEARMAN -- Statement by Spearman Chief of Police Lance Swan.

Just want to update the citizens of Spearman about our incident on Sunday evening.

The young female is doing well at a hospital in Amarillo. The injury was a non life threatening injury and is being kept for a couple of days for observation.

I just want to assure all the citizens that you can go about letting your children play outside, take out the trash, play in the water, sandbox or the neighbors
 yard.

I believe that this was an isolated event, but the evidence that was taken to the DPS Crime Lab will let us have a little bit more light after it is processed.

I reassure you that you are in the best care for this city and its citizens.

I have a great bunch of guys working for me and they will and will keep giving this city 110% each and every day.

If you have any information please pass it on to the Spearman Police Department. Also there is a reward of up to $500 for the arrest and conviction of the person that is responsible for this act.

Any information can be sent to me through Facebook, dispatch or to my office.

Thank you. Chief Lance Swan
