2nd Lt. Darryn Andrews, a Texas Tech graduate, was killed in Afghanistan in 2009, using his body to shield two other soldiers from a blast.

25-year-old Staff Sgt. Michael Chance Murphrey of Snyder, lost his life just days after, both while searching for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl.

These two men died just shortly after Bergdahl reportedly took off his weapons and walked off an observation post, a move that one of his fellow soldiers, whose identity is hidden, says makes him a "deserter" for putting other soldiers in danger.

"Furious that when he came back, that it was we're going to give him a heroes welcome.  He doesn't deserve a heroes welcome. He deserves a court martial."

The Andrews family says the trade over Bergdahl's release for five Taliban leaders, is "horrible."

"My son's life was more than that," says Darryn's mother, Sona Andrews.

Tuesday, Congress says they were left our of the plan. But, President Obama continues to defend his decision.

"We still get an American soldier back if he's held in captivity. Period. Full stop. We don't condition that," said the President.

Sgt. Murphrey's family released a statement Tuesday night saying, "We feel shocked, outraged, and betrayed but it's time the he comes back to face his trial and receive punishment for leaving his battle buddies. It angers me that people think this man is a hero. He is not a hero, My brother was the hero. He took an oath and fulfilled it 100%. Even lost his life. It's not fair that Bergdahl gets to come home to his family after breaking that oath."
