Hello folks and good Thursday morning to you. We continue to be affected by the system formerly known as Hurricane Odile as its moisture and clouds have come our way, and rain chances stay higher today and this weekend, so keep your umbrellas handy.
Today, clouds across the area and showers and storms over the southern Texas Panhandle will hang out through the morning, with the possibility of patchy fog. From time to time, we could get a little rain here in Amarillo during the day but most of the action will stay to the south, and keep temperatures down in the 70s. Folks around the High Plains that don't get rain will see temperatures above 80 degrees.
Tomorrow, the system moves closer to us, increasing the chance for rain for the afternoon, so once again, a cool and damp Friday is in the works. Make sure to have your jackets and umbrellas if you're heading to the fair or any football games. Highs for tomorrow will only reach the 70s.
Odile will start moving away by Saturday evening after another round of rain and cool temperatures and by Sunday we'll begin to dry out.
The next chance for moisture comes on Monday and lasts for a few days.
Make it a great Thursday!
