(WEAU) A visually impaired Illinois man is running across the country to raise money for cystic fibrosis.
David Kuhn has been running with the assistance of a sighted runner for the last 80 days, following a route along the the perimeter of the continental United States to raise money for cystic fibrosis.
When finished, he will have traveled more than 11,000 miles.
"As I've progressed around the country so far I've met so many people with this disease or those that have family members with it, and each story just keeps adding more and more fuel to keeping me going through all of this," he says.
Kuhn has a personal connection to the disease. His 12-year-old grand daughter has cystic fibrosis.
