AMARILLO -- The Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Service is working to help military caregivers.
An agreement between the Department Of Defense and the USDA provides the resources available for training.
The Agrilife Extension Service wants to help spread awareness about these resources through an online push.
Andy Crocker says it's a way to reach caregivers who may not otherwise have access to professional support.
"A caregiver or a wounded service member may go to someone say in Amarillo where we have a really good support system but then someone in Dalhart or someone in Pampa or someone in rural Nebraska or anywhere in the United States might not be able to find the same level of support."
A recent study says there five and a half million caregivers in the US for wounded service members.
