Red Cross Expands Heroes Campaign to the Streets

In the past two months the Red Cross has helped 85 people who have been through a life-changing event.
AMARILLO -- The Red Cross Heroes Campaign is making a final push this week and this weekend with the street campaign.

"We've been fortunate to have so many businesses step up and volunteer to being a Hero but we also want to make sure individuals in our community know they can help as well," said American Red Cross Texas Panhandle Chapter Executive Director Steve Pair. "Every little bit helps, all of those $5 or $10 donations add up and are the backbone of our efforts."

The following intersections will be covered from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.:
  • 34th/Georgia: Red Cross Volunteers/Staff
  • Bell/Hillside: Lyons Realty
  • 45th/Coulter: Walmart
  • Amarillo Blvd./Gem Lake: KAMR
  • I-40/Ross: Xcel Energy
